Profile in brief:

Dr. Ashok S Gavaskar is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon with vast expertise in joint replacement surgery, pelvic surgery and complex orthopedic trauma. He is currently the associate editor for the prestigious EJOST journal and also the assistant editor of Indian journal of Orthopaedics. He serves as an honorary member in the editorial board of World Journal of Orthopaedics and is an invited reviewer of leading journals like BJJ, International orthopaedics, JOT and Injury. He is currently the Chairman of the APOA – Young Surgeons Committee. He has won international research grants and has more than 35 original publications in reputed indexed journals. He has authored three book chapters in the field of arthroplasty and trauma. He is an international faculty for AOTrauma, SICOT and the AAOS and has delivered more than 75 invited guest lectures worldwide. He has also received numerous international awards and honours including the prestigious International (2014) and Emerging leaders scholarship (2017) awards from the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons as recognition of his outstanding work in the field of joint reconstruction and trauma surgery
